  I'd prefer keeping the NL/AL split and not going to four team divisions, smaller divisions kind of hurt the vibe of a pennant chase to me. Oh, and make the NL expansion the Expos, yearly summer road trips to Montreal again would rule.

  マリナーズファンだからあんまり文句は言わないけど、そのア・西は地獄すぎる。年俸トップ15に1球団しかいないア・西と、6球団もいるナ・西って釣り合い取れてないだろ。西海岸の球団は全部まとめて1地区にしてくれ

  As a Mariner fan I won't complain too much but that AL west is god awful. It doesn't make sense to have an AL West with one team in the top 15 in payroll and an NL West with six. I'd rather see all the West coast teams in a combined division.

  I would move to all 4 team divisions and [radical thought] no wildcards. Champions only! Make the season count, bring back the nailbiting tension of a true pennant race. There has not been a true pennant race since 1993 when the Braves won 104 and the Giants were on the outside looking in with 103 wins. There is nothing in the sports world like a true baseball pennant race. The wildcard took that away.

  No offense, but 4 team divisions would be terrible. You would have weak teams making the playoffs solely based on the luck of being in a small division, and you'd have strong teams missing out for the same reason. The playoffs should be a reward for a good season.

  I agree weak team would get in sometimes but if you don't win your division you don't deserve to go to the playoffs. Only champions! Make the regular season important again bring back pennant races.

  I think I would make two completely separate leagues. For the sake of the discussion, let's call them A League and N League. During the season, each of those leagues would play other teams within their league a fixed number of times. At the end of the season I would have the team with the most number of wins in League 'A' and the corresponding winner of League 'N' Play a 7-game series to determine which is the best baseball team. I would also jail anyone who would want to change the rules of the game. Bigger bases- jail. Timers for batters or pitchers - jail. Limiting the number of times a pitcher can throw to first base- jail. And, completely randomly, I would have the baseball team from Cincinnati be the first team to play on opening day!

  Selfishly as a Braves fan, I want to structure our division to have the 4 best stadiums: Braves, Pirates, Cardinals, Reds. Objectively, I don't see any reason why we can't mirror the NFL as closely as possible if they both have 32 teams. That way rivalries between cities can cross over. Nobody ask me how Padres got equated to Jags and SLC to Carolina. Forced equivalencies become necessary at a point.

  Not in the world of MLB/NFL crossover they aren't. Just be glad I made the Cubs the Bears equivalent instead of giving that to the White Sox. I could have equated Cubs with Colts and tossed the Cubs into the AL South.
