  If he doesn't pitch much, or if he doesn't pitch well, his issue becomes that he's a full time DH. If that's the case, the door is open for someone else to come in and compete for the MVP. If we get a full, healthy season from Acuna, there's probably going to be a case. And you never know who might break out. Nobody expected Cal Raleigh to hit 60 homers last season. Mostly: baseball is unpredictable

These are ordered by probability: Paul Skenes pitches 200 innings and the Pirates make the playoffs... Acuna comes back to full form with a second 40/70 year... Juan Soto 10 war season. Mookie hits 35 hr and wins a gold glove at short... Trea Turner has a Chipper-esque late career explosion hitting .350... Lindor 40/40 Gold Glove. Luis Arraez traded to Colorado and he hits .400. Anyone else got any ideas?

He never was associated with ohtani, never saw him or spoke to him until ohtani decided to pay his translators debts.   There's no reason to believe that Shohei will have a bad season, but Shohei could have a bad season. It is possible. Just very very unlikely.

  プロとしての私の見立てでは、彼は良いシーズンを送るかもしれないし、悪いシーズンを送るかもしれない。最終的には……史上に残る“野球のシーズン”の一つになると思うね。

  In my professional opinion he could have a good season or he could have a bad season. I suspect ultimately he will have one of the baseball seasons ever.
