  Pitching Ninjaいつも最高。今のナ・リーグの先発投手陣はとんでもない時代だよ。コーファックス、ドライスデール、ギブソン、マリシャル、ジェンキンス…がいた60年代以来、ひとつのリーグにこれだけ支配的な先発が揃ったことはなかった。 あと、山本に盛大な拍手を送ってくれたホワイトソックスのファンにも、親指2本立てだ。

  He'll have his no hitter or perfect game at some point, it's not an 'if', it's a 'when'. He's only going to get better, same as miz, and that's terrifying. They're redefining what an elite pitcher really is.

  同意。ヤマはキャリアが終わるまでに最低1回は完全試合をやると思う。 ミズやスキーンズみたいな連中が出てきて、先発投手が全体的に復権してるのは本当にすごいことだよ。

  @ba2724 Agreed. I think Yama will get a perfect game at least once before it all said and done. It’s pretty incredible with the resurgence of starting pitching across the board with guys like Miz, Skenes, and what not.

  いや、俺は違うと思う。彼が取り憑かれてるのは“完璧さ”じゃない。“過程”と、チームを勝たせるためにやるべきことに取り憑かれてるんだ。毎試合パーフェクトを狙って投げてるわけじゃない。ただ、結果的にそうなるなら、それは準備と遂行が完璧だったからってだけの話だよ。

  I disagree. I don’t think he’s obsessed with perfection. I think he’s obsessed with the process, and doing what it takes to help his team win. He’s not going into every game trying to throw a perfect one, but if it happens it’s because his preparation and execution allowed it to.

  ヨシが試合を止めてマウンドを直させた場面を出さなかったのは意外だな。どうやら“完璧なマウンド”は彼の投球メカニクスの一部らしいぞ。

  Surprised you didn't show Yoshi stopping the game to fix the mound. Apparently, a perfect mound is part of his throwing mechanics.

  いい動画。日本の中継には大谷たちを追う専用カメラが何台かあって、山本は試合中、手帳に目を通すだけじゃなく、ベンチで投球フォームを何度も確認してたのが映ってた。 あと、ロックがマウンドに作ったデカい凹みを埋めてくれって頼んだとき、村上が何度も大声で彼をからかってるのも抜かれてたよ😆

  Nice one, Ninja. The Japanese broadcast has a few dedicated cameras that follow Ohtani et al, and Yamamoto, besides going through his notebook, was shown reconfirming his pitching motion in the dugout many times during the game. Also when he asked the big dent Rock made on the mound to be filled up they showed Murakami repeatedly yelling something to tease him. 😆

  生涯ドジャースファンだけど言わせてくれ。今、彼より優れた投手はいるかもしれない。それでも俺はヨシを誰とも交換しない。彼が自分の技に注ぐ気配りとディテールのレベルは桁違いだし、人間としても世界レベルだ。日本人選手はマジで作りが違うわ。

  Lifelong dodger fan here. There may be better pitchers out there currently but I wouldn't trade Yoshi for anyone. The level of care and detail he puts into his craft is off the charts not to mention a world class person as well. Japanese players are just built differently.

  山本ってすごく誠実で、努力を一切やめない人だと思う。完全試合を逃した後でも心からの笑顔を見せられるのが、彼が本当にいいやつだっていう証拠だよ😊

  I think Yamamoto is a very sincere person who never stops working hard. The fact that he showed a genuine smile even after missing out on a perfect game is proof that he’s a real nice guy😊.

  Yoshi and the Miz are the only pitchers on other teams that im truly scared of. When they're at their peak, they're unreachable

  Usually Yoshi gives up a single 1st inning run before saying "just kidding, you're &!%@'ed." This time the charity run came in the 9th.

  （0:59）最初に山本に興味を持ったのは、好きなベーシストと苗字が同じだったからなんだ。でもこういうのを見て、今いちばん好きな投手になった。彼はいいチームメイトであり続けてるし、自分の技を極めようとする執念は誰にも負けない。その姿勢は若いアスリートが見習うべきものだ。 ……お気に入りの選手2人がドジャースだと認めるのは、正直ちょっと悔しいけどな。

  0:59 I was interested in Yamamoto because he shares a last name with one of my favorite bass players. He became my favorite current pitcher because of things like this. He continues to show how good of a teammate he is. His drive to master his trade is unmatched & his attitude is something young athletes should emulate. It's almost painful to admit two of my favorite players are Dodgers.
