  CC is absolutely right and all the Shohei haters stop the hate and face facts. As for Skenes, he himself said after pitching he needs recovery time. Shohei goes out and goes 2 for 2 with a HR and 2 walks the day after pitching 6 2/3 innings. He's 1/1 give him his due

  People either don't want to admit Shohei is the GOAT, or they lack the IQ to comprehend it. It was considered impossible to do what he is doing. Elite speed and base running, elite hitting, elite pitching - all in one person. That does not happen.

  I think it's just hard to accept that someone today could be the best ever. That's not a sleight to Ohtani. Also, he was on a mediocre Angels team for six years which dampened his prestige.

  確かに大谷は打者としても投手としても“最高”ではない。でも両方をトップレベルでこなす。サッカーW杯で、得点王（ゴールデンブーツ）と最優秀GK（ゴールデングローブ）の両方の候補に名前が挙がるようなもんだ

  Shohei is not the best hitter or pitcher, sure. But he does both at the elite level. It's like playing at the World Cup and being in the conversation for golden boot AND golden glove.

Also Patrick is not acknowledging Otani's NPB numbers, 42-15, ERA 2.52, BA 286, 48 HRs. 2016 Season: Named the Pacific League MVP, he batted .322 with 22 home runs and 67 RBIs, while pitching to a 10-4 record with a 1.86 ERA and 174 strikeouts in 140 innings. Spells GOAT even today.

  ベーブ・ルースは二刀流をほぼ同時にはやってない。基本は投手で、たまに打って、打撃が上手すぎたから専業打者になった。しかも本人が『身体的にきつすぎて二刀流は不可能』と言ってたほどだ。それにルースの時代は、今ほど技術もアスリート性も高くなかった

  Babe Ruth barely did both at the same time, he was mostly a pitcher who sometimes hit and then became a full time hitter because he was so good at it. Even then he said it himself that it was impossible to be a 2-way cause it was so demanding on the body. And Babe's era wasnt nearly as skilled or athletic as today.

  I'm sick of hearing about babe Ruth. He didn't play against the best of the best. He played during a time when the league was segregated and where players would moonlight as electricians and plumbers . Maybe he was the best of his era but Ohtani is the best to ever do it. If the argument is , would babe been the best if he had today's nutrition , training, diet , and the modern framework to maximize his training …. Perhaps… but what are we doing comparing him to what Ohtani IS, not what he could be

  EXACTLY "This is the biggest, fastest, strongest" babe Ruth pumping 80 and hitting homers off of 70-80 mph isn't comparable to what shohei is at face value. If they went up against each other in their primes shohei would bat atleast .400 off of him in 10 ABs and idk if babe is hitting shohei. He hasn't seen 100 with a splitter and a 68 mph curve and a sweeper to go along with it

But here's the thing: you choose ANY of those players and make an entire team with that player with 25 of their clones -- and repeat the process until 29 of these player/clone teams are created. Then you make an entire league of all those teams... and you include a team comprised of 26 Shohei Ohtanis. The Shohei Ohtani team will win the championship and finish the season with a better W/L record than any MLB team has ever had.
