  大谷は野球史のGOATってだけじゃない。各競技のGOATたちの中のGOATだとすら言える。やってることが理解不能なんだよ。何とも比較できない。俺たちは彼の偉大さに慣れてしまってると思う。

  Shohei is not only the GOAT in the history of baseball, but I would argue he is the GOAT out of all the GOAT's in their respective sport. It's incomprehensible what Shohei is doing. You can't compare it to anything. I think we've grown numb to his greatness.

  Pedro saying that shows how difficult what he's doing is. He's basically saying I'm one of the greatest to do it but even I can't comprehend how he mentally stays focused and disciplined to do this.

  別にあの賞を獲る必要すらない。サイ・ヤング投票で2位3位に何回か入れば十分。トップ3に入って1位票が数票来れば、それでもう証明完了だよ。

  He doesn't need to win that award. He only needs to get 2nd and 3rd place a few times. If he gets in the top 3, and gets a couple of first place votes, then it's enough.

  バリー・ボンズ？？？　ボンズはゴールドグラブ8回で、三振100超えは生涯で一度だけ。大谷は平均160三振、去年は183だぞ。ペドロ？？　サイ・ヤング3回… 大谷は特別だし凄い達成もしてるが、打席ではボンズじゃないし、マウンドではペドロじゃない。

  Barry Bonds??? Bonds won 8 gold gloves, and only once in his life he had a 100 strikeout season. Ohtani is averaging 160 per season including 183 last year. Pedro?? won 3 Cy young... Ohtani is special and has done some great accomplishment, but he aint no Bonds at the plate and he aint no Pedro at the mound

  俺の経験上、ほとんどの人間は大谷の偉大さを理解する頭の容量が足りてない。アラ探しをして『打撃ならあの選手のほうが上』『投球ならこいつのほうが』『走塁なら』って言い出す。MLBであれだけの才能を全部この高さで両立させるのが『不可能』とされてた、って概念を掴めないんだ。頭の悪い相手と議論するのは難しい。

  My experience is that most people lack the mental capacity to comprehend the greatness of Shohei. They nitpick, or argue that some guy was a better hitter or better pitcher or better base runner. They cannot grasp the concept that it is considered impossible for Shohei to combine all his talents at such a high level in MLB. Hard to argue with low IQ people.

  大谷のせいで、サイ・ヤング級の投手かつMVP級の打者っていう選手が当たり前だと思われてる。2018年より前なら、ジャスティン・バーランダーが50本塁打打つとか、バリー・ボンズが防御率2.00とか、あまりに馬鹿げてて誰も話題にすらしなかったアイデアなんだぞ。

  People think its normal to have a player be a Cy Young pitcher and an MVP hitter all because of Shohei. Anytime before 2018, this idea of Justin Verlander hitting 50 home runs or Barry Bonds having a 2.0 ERA is something so absurd, so wild, nobody even talks about it.

  大谷はかつて6打数6安打・10打点・3本塁打・2盗塁の試合をやって、しかもそれがMLB史上初の単一シーズン50本塁打50盗塁を達成した試合だった… で、それが『2番目に凄い試合』なんだ。なぜなら10奪三振3本塁打のプレーオフの試合があるから。彼がGOATだよ。

  Ohtani once went 6 for 6 with 10 RBIs, 3 HRs, 2 SBs, all while becoming the first player in MLB history to ever hit 50 HRs and Steal 50 bases in a single season... and it is his 2nd best game because of the 10 strikeout, 3 HR playoff game. He is the GOAT.

  大谷は6先発すべてで6回以上を投げ、自責点はたった4、防御率もWHIPもメジャー最高。しかも忘れちゃいけないのは打線にも入ってること。中0日で先発する唯一の投手だぞ。

  Ohtani in his 6 starts have gone all 6 or more innings, given up just 4 earn runs, has the best ERA and Whip in the majors. Remember he's also in the lineup hitting, the only pitcher to start with no days rest.

  大谷を見るのは最高。間違いなく史上最高だ。とはいえ、俺は97年から01年までペドロの先発を全部見たが、あの時期のペドロほど支配的な投手はいなかった。エグかった。

  Love watching Shohei. No doubt best ever. That said I watched every Pedro Martinez start from 97 to 01 and nobody was as dominant as Pedro. NASTY
