  公式ルールブックの『なしなし禁止』条項によると、打者走者が本塁前に残って走者をセーフと宣告した時点で、一塁のフォースは無効化される。その後で一塁アウトを狙った場合、アウトを取った野手と打者走者が“逆立ち対決”で得点の有無を決める。ただし球審その日の昼飯がホーギー（サンドイッチ）だった場合は自動的に走者の生還が認められる。

  I'm pretty sure the rules of "no take-backsies" says that the batter-runner remaining at the plate to call the runner safe at home negate the force at first. If they try to put the batter-runner out at first after that, the fielder recording the out and the batter-runner will settle whether or not the run counts via a handstand contest, unless the crew chief had a hoagie for lunch that day in which case the runner is automatically awarded home.

He joined the Kiwoom Heroes in Korea in July and was decent there, but wasn't picked up for the 2022 season. Since then, he's had a couple college coaching jobs, and if Wikipedia is to be believed, is the recruiting coordinator at Duke now.

  Man. Imagine finally accomplishing your childhood dream of being in the majors, all the work and effort put in for two decades, and then you last for all of 18 games -- and then your baseball career ends a year later. All because of one extremely stupid play. I would have nightmares about it for the rest of my life.

  一塁到達は一塁手のE3（三塁手にアシスト記録）。一塁手はアウトに間に合う送球を受けてたから、殺せなかったのは規則9.12(a)(3)でエラー。二塁進塁を許した悪送球は捕手のE2。打点はなし。一塁手のエラーがなければイニングは終わってて得点も入らなかったはずだからな

  E3 on the advance to first, assist credited to the third baseman. First baseman got the ball in time to put out the runner. Failure to do so is an error per 9.12(a)(3). E2 on the bad throw that allowed him to advance to second base. No RBI, because the error by the first baseman would have ended the inning, and no run would have counted.

  ガチのパイレーツファンだけど、これは何があっても客観的に爆笑モノ。チームの印象がどれだけ悪くなろうが知ったこっちゃない。見るたびに毎回吠えて笑うし、これでみんなが楽しんでくれてるなら本望だわ

  Die-hard Pirates fan here. This will always be objectively hilarious. I don't care how bad it reflects on our team. I will never stop howling at this clip every time I see it and I'm glad it brings other people so much joy.

  野球版『バッグス・バニーがエルマー・ファッドに自分の顔を撃たせる』だな。Tボールの子供にも教える“一塁のフォースアウト”っていう超基本ルールを、プロの一塁手にうっかり忘れさせて誘導できる…こんなイカれた光景、人生でそうそう見られるもんじゃない

  The baseball equivalent of Bugs Bunny making Elmer Fudd shoot himself in the face. The idea that you could goad a professional first baseman into forgetting about the concept of a force out at first, one of the most basic rules of the game that we teach t-ball players... it's just the most insane thing you could ever see.
